Four Hours!
Friday, April 18, 2008, 12:27 AM
Ever thought of driving around for 4 hours?Nope, but somehow it happened!2 aimless people. Scouring all over Singapore.ME AND MY COUSIN (always handy to have a 24-7 driver)!A family car HONDA + half full tank of petrol.
2am
We first visited our dear old upper thomson friend.I only had a milk tea while he had his bomb prata (YUCKS, E SUGAR IS TOO..artificial?)
We went north, south, east, west accompanied by our freshly burned CD (all Indo idol songs). Some were funny and had a mixture of English (I'm sorry, goodbye - EH?)
It started to get foggy at certain areas and we even saw smoke rising up from the road.
We passed by lots of Indians. More n more as we continue our travelling.
N more n more.........
Cool & cozy but there's the unspoken rule - ''NO SLEEPING HA!''
3.30am
Our next destination, my akong's funeral parlour. What's the name of that place!! Near to upper serangoon!
The transparent casket carAll it takes is a glance and it sends shiver down your throat!
It's dark and empty, I......can't get off the carcan't drivecan't grab a taxi
Snoopy pillow become my best friend.FUKKER! Good thing it freaks him up too! Otherwise we won't ever leave that place!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It reminded me of how long and quick time had passed. Some still lives with it every single day of their lives. The scenes replaying like a broken video. The shrieking, the laughter, the grief. To summarise, it's traumatic for those who stayed by him.It takes only a mere 2 hours before the unexpected actually happens right in front of you. It's too soon.
Holy light bulbIt taught me something, an early retirement.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5.00am
With what is lil left of our petrol, we went to the airport.
We passed by the Singapore's eye - ferris wheel.$30 / ticket, 30 mins ride
Standing tall with its bright blue lights on and the surrounding litted with huge, white lights. It feels so close to e damn thing! N it's really cool unlike in e day when it is so dull, plain looking.
5.45amWe travelled from one end to another just to take off immediately.
Orange lights are shining signalling that we're really in need of petrol. But we r still so damn far from ESSO station.
We off e aircon n open e windows throughout e journey to ESSO
Morning breeze was good n we've not seen any cockroaches which makes it even better!
Pumped, ready to take off.We still love the aircon better!
6.15amWhat is even better, we went back home to change our car!
For the first time, we drove the Mercedez out!
Short 30 mins drive n an extra lookout to protect the Mercz!
6.35am
It was great, 4 hours drive with no toilet breaks!
++++ NO ROAD BLOCK!
